Remix It Jam 2023, The Game

This is the game you are going to remix! 

Snake? Really? Well, not really. 

We chose Snake as the most obvious way to visualize the mechanics we have came up with, now your game doesn't have to do anything with Snake, however we do want your mechanics to be based on some set rules, which you can find on this page and in the provided text tile.

What can I make?

Literally anything you want. The mechanics are just a base for you to build on, we wanted this game jam to be an easy way to start playing with the prototype and see where it takes you! Instead of struggling to come up with an idea based on the theme. 

You can make a dating sim where you have limited time before you collect someone's heart! A 3D FPS where you collect body parts to use before you run out of blood. A puzzle platformer where every time you collect a soul your character becomes a huge beam. Anything among those lines!

The Source code.

The source code is available to download below, the game is made in 2 engines such as: GameMaker and Godot. However, you don't have to use the source code and any engine will do! As you can see the game is very small and as long as the requirements are followed, you can create your game from scratch.

The Requirements of the Unknown Undead Wise Frog:

The First Law:

"there must be somethin' to collect. any way will do."

The Second Law:

"something must happen when that collectible gets picked up/collected."

The Third Law:

"there must be some flow, some jazz- a timer there must be. one that can run out."

The Fourth Law:

"something must happen when you outta jazz, or as you youngsters say it, outta time."

The unknown undead wise frog noted:
